About Me
I am a freelance writer in the Bakersfield area with over eighteen years of experience in all different kinds of writing. I have written countless reports, essays, articles, short stories, reviews, commentaries, and just about anything else that you can imagine. I am currently in the process of writing two books, as well as developing this writing business while I attend school for a law degree. Always a straight-A student, I found myself frequently tutoring my classmates and reviewing their work. Now, I’ve decided to offer my talents professionally. I have always been passionate about the art of writing, no matter what material you put in my hands. I crave the opportunity to present ideas in an engaging way that your audience can understand. Your message is important to you. It should evoke the same passion and purpose in your audience that it does every time you think about it. If that talent is what you are looking for, then let me help you craft your message as skillfully as it deserves.

My Story
My foray into the field of wordcraft hardly had a glamorous start, it began primarily in the roleplay boards of the Neopets website when I was a kid.
Yes, you can laugh at that, after all, I do too. I’ve always been passionate about writing. Even when I was a child, I was writing out stories that were constantly flying around in my head. I needed an outlet for all these ideas, and I found that in a quiet, overly air-conditioned room with a keyboard, a cold soda, and some admittedly peculiar music choices.
I spent some time in school seeking a degree and training to become a paramedic, and my writing skills served me very well in my academic pursuits, breezing through essays with fantastic grades. After completing my degree in emergency services and graduating from paramedic school, I spent two years working in that career. I loved that job, and I’d probably still be doing it today if I were capable of it. Unfortunately, I suffered a back injury on the job that eliminated any future that I would have had in that career.
I was devastated. My injury could not have occurred at a worse time. I had just gotten married, and now I was unable to effectively provide for my wife and three children. I took odd courier jobs where I could, and worked DoorDash to help make our ends meet, but I felt frustrated working these jobs I had no passion for. I was going to school for law, which I did find interesting, but knew that any result of those studies was years away. I felt like I was spinning my wheels, barely making enough to get by.
I decided to eventually attempt to hire myself out as a notary, but one day during a networking meeting, while I was giving a presentation on editing and writing that I offered as a side service, I was approached by one of the group members. She loved my writing, and hired me immediately to start refining some of the written content on her website. Another member of this networking group told me that they could tell I was nervous talking about notary work, but as soon as I began talking about my writing services, I “commanded the entire room’s attention.” I remembered the confidence I felt when I shifted to the part of the presentation focused on writing. That’s when it clicked for me. I’d found how to move forward again.
Now I work offering writing and editing services for those with valuable ideas who want to make sure that their audience feels the fervor and fascination their idea deserves. Your message is valuable, and it deserves a masterful craftsmanship. Let’s work together to let the entire world hear what you have to say.
Passion. Power. Pride.
I take immense pride in taking an idea and crafting it into a powerful point that will speak to and enrapture your audience. Shaping a message like this takes much more than a good vocabulary. It takes a close understanding of the client, and pride in the results of the work done. Every project begins with an in-depth interview of you to make sure that not only does your work say what you want it to say, but that it communicates your values, feelings, and tone to those you are trying to speak to. This personal approach ensures that the work that you receive is of the highest possible quality, clarity, and impact, and you can rest assured that this investment means that I won’t settle for producing anything less.
